Very Early S&L PAB Bronze Grade

Here's a nice, chocolatey brown, S&L PAB for your viewing pleasure...

Very early, high quality. It has one minor flaw though. The catch has a small piece broken of and missing! Otherwise, it's a very nice piece!

Nice, deep cutouts around the turret and gun. Crisp strike and all the good stuff!

Its a very nice PAB Mike, and one of the very earliest i would think, with the full cut-outs around the turret rear and gun barrel, also has the early hardware, its a shame the end of the catch is broken, but its actually not too bad, most of the catch is still there, so it does'nt detract much i think!!!

Very nice piece, even with this small defect.
Would be interesting, how this happened in this position?

Good question Matthias. Not really sure.I don't think it saw any combat action.

I can only assume, that it was a material defect here?

Hmm, good thought Matthias. The metal does look a bit porous at the point of breakage.

Nice PAB, but indeed a very weird spot to break.
Maybe it broke allready before they soldered it onto the badge while making the catch?
