Ahh, Mike you changed your avatar from a bird to some snakes.

"Mighty Mike?" That's my work name! I work for Mighty Auto Parts! Since I started there, I've been known as "Mighty Mike!" It's got a nice ring to it, eh?

BTW, your avatar is hardly boring! I've always liked it!

Mike, I am not aware of any FJ guy that earned such a badge.
You should sell it fast! (I know one who would take it ).

Seriously, a supurb finished S&L badge and not easy to find either.
              Great catch

Haha! I've done some research and you are correct. I could not find an FJ who had earned the BKA. Sell? Trade? We'll see...

You sure are right Matthias! I love it! What's not to love?
It has the highest quality of any badge in my collection!

Ouch, I didn't notice it yet.
But I think I have enough other items where he would gladly change his avatar with

I still have this FJ badge I want to get rid off.
Pretty unique with a "JMME" mark.....I bet Mike has a weak spot for it

Very nice para and what a condition.....don´t wannabe Mike now

I personally would upgrade my KM collection with a nice wartime piece...if possible

There's NO DOUBT that you have enough pieces to keep me changing my avatar every day for a year!

That minty JMME is calling to me...

Oh, I'm a "wannabe" in many respects my friend! I've never owned a real para helmet. I had a decent TR collection at one time. I'll share a pic. All pieces pre-45 except for the RK and TDB's. The pic is from 2003. Notice even then I began to have a soft spot for 57er's.
The DK was the highlight. A cased "134" in mint condition!

Mmmmm.....i can feel a "trade" in the air?????
Nice collection of wartime pieces Mike, i've been there myself, but at wartime prices, i could never afford an RK, DK, or even a big collection, plus the huge amount of fakes put me right off, sometimes i miss the nice pieces i had, but i dont regret for a minute turning to 57ers!!

                            Thanks Nigel!

It was purely a financial thing for me. My job was "downsized" as we say here, "redundant" I believe is said in Europe and/or the UK. When that happened, my collection had to go to feed the family.

Like you, I do not regret for a moment switching to 57er's! I actually prefer them now. They're much more rare than their TR older brothers for the most part and that makes for a great challenge!

Mmmmh...it seems that "wannabe" and "want to be" have different meanings?
If so...i should have written "Don´t want to be Mike now"

                              Maybe misunderstanding?

Mike!!!!!! That is/was a very nice TR collection
                              What happened?
I once had a nice TR collection too but got divorced.....i hate lawyers and ex wifes

Seems we were posting simultaneously Rüdiger. Read the previous post and you'll see why it went away.

I also had a decent paper collection as well.
See the atachment. Many were wartime, some postwar. All the postwar pics were hand signed by the FJ RKT's.

The Student, Brauer and Witzig cards were wartime signed!

Several of the larger pics were wartime propaganda shots with strips of paper glued to the backside with description.
