RK mit EL - my first 57er !!

    Hello again,

Today I've received my first 57er... and I think that I'm crazy about 57ers now
Something special is in them when you handle it.

My first addition is a 2nd pattern S&L with oakleaves. I know that it is late piece, but I wanted to get something undemanding first... Anyway i felt in love with that piece!

P.s. many thanks to Nigel for meritoric help

Like you said ... its a modern made 2nd pattern ( I assume non-magnetic core ) with what looks like a sandblasted frame.
Seems the core got a coat of paint after assembly, somewhat sloppy job here and there.
However, always nice to see "800" mark on the frame .
The oaks are definitely postwar Souval made and modern ribbon.

For a first buy, certainly not bad .... I still remember mine .

                Hi Patryk!!!
Glad to see you have started collecting 57ers!!!
As you said, you knew this was a later piece, but if you got it for a good price , and you are happy with it, thats all that really matters!!
To be honest, for a first 57 piece, its not a bad looking RK at all, really nice core details!!!
Of course now you have bought one, you'll soon become infected with RK fever, for which there is no known cure!!!
Look forward to seeing your next purchase!!!!

                  Thank you guys!

Before I'll buy something next I must to learn a lot, but it is only a matter of time

P.s. yes, it is non-magnetic. I suppose the core might be made in Alpaka? I don't know from what materials they was making a 57ers cores...

Well it goes for a very good price, so I'm really happy to have it!
