Not really sure what to make of this piece. Is it real or fake, early or old?

IMO a very late piece with painted red ring.

Its an artificially aged DKiS, which is - on top of that - a fake piece.
For me it has no value and therefore certainly not the price the vendor is asking for it ...

Clear away from this kind of modern made junk ....
