From the photos alone it is very hard to judge.

Is the ribbon UV negative? I appreciate that this is by any means conclusive or indicactive of period, but it is one pointer. Have you tried a burn test, and if so what was the result?

I ever tested under UV, the modern reproductions glowed more than this one.


I just tried a burn test. It produced black ashes and smells like the burnt cotton, I don't know what it indicated.

The burn test is indicative of it being made from a natural rather than a man made fabric. However, based on your description and the photo, I'd say that this is more likely a piece of post war ribbon, but whether from the 1950's, 60's or even 70's, I couldn't say. It certainly looks like a well made piece of post war ribbon.
