57 Observers - 3 Different Manufacturers

Ok, so for all you 57 collecting nerds/geeks (wear that with pride! ), here's a comparison of 3 different observer badges, all from different makers; there's an S&L, Assmann, and a very rare Deumer, all of the earliest issue, IMO.

Wait until I'm done posting before commenting as there's lots of pics!

My personal fav is the Deumer, hands down, but that Assmann has a killer finish on the wreath, but I don't care for how black the finish is on that one. The S&L is the usual fare for early quality.

Note: there's 3 different wreaths here, hardware, and some ever slight differences to the eagles, too.

Three exquisite Observer badges Geo! Truly excellent in every respect!

I see why you like the Deumer so well, but the frosting and burnishing on the wreath of Assman is just stunning! For my taste it's a toss up between those two! At the moment, I honestly can't decide which I like best!

Man those a beautiful badges, George. I'm not really up on them, so I haven't too much to say except that I love the look of that Deumer.

All great early pieces George....very nice!! The Deumer is a beauty, most Deumer pieces are quality!! But the Assmann is a stunner too, different, but a great looker!! The S & L is still very nice, but its a toss up between the other two as to which is nicest!! -Nigel
