    Fantasy pieces ...

Since posts are somewhat on the low side lately, I decided to do something "fun" .....

So, gentlemen, here you can post all the fantasy and crappy made 57ers you can find across the World Wide Web .
I hope this will be a fun thread ( and suitable for info as to what NOT to buy ).

I'll start off with this DKiG with diamonds off eBay ( where else ).

          Nice one Mike,

But it is also very funny to see how fakes are being converted and modified to fool the collectors of 57 items.

It is not news that fakes are being denazified.
But when I saw an RSS badge with hardware that I never saw on a RSS badge I had to look twice before I noticed why I got a very weird feeling.

            Now that's an interesting badge!

Reichsadler but no swastika. The faker can't make up his mind to make a TR piece or a 57er!

Note that the conning tower has been Photoshoped! Digital manipulation with Copy and Paste.

Note the identical "wear" points on the double conning towers.

This seller jams eBay with these fine pieces which no one on this forum would fall for.

I love the beading especially. He seems to sell under two names and only with one name does he declare "repro." Perhaps there is a second seller that offers identical items that does not call them repro's. I'm not sure.

Dont you know, Mike, that this is the very rare "special beading screwback " ...

                              Even photos get faked.

I bought this as an original wartime photo of a Panzer RKT only to find out later it's fake!
