Somethimes you can still be Lucky. These I bought not very long ago.

But i also like your TR badge - looks like a Wiedmann piece in absolutely great condition....

You are very correct with Wiedmann, I am impressed knowing that you are a 57 collector
Sadly it is a sinker (wich I normally don't collect) but they are known to keep the Finish very well, so I will keep it for a while.

            Hi Nigel,
I know your interests are somewhere else.
Here is some more stuff the seller was happy to get rid off.
Sadly I have to find a medal bar without a KvK and Ostmedal (or the ribbons).

But here is my mm4 specially for you!

I don´t only collect 57er. My interest are on the Kriegsmarine, especially U-boat,too. I am living 35 kilometers away from the museum u-boat U 995. Since i saw that in my younger years, i was infected from u-boats. At the moment i collect more 57er than TR, but i ´m saving most of my money for a 57er RK and a TR u-boat badge (and i have not much money,so it´ll take a while).

Two years ago i had to sell my whole collection and since then such a badge is missing in it.

But today, this evening, i´ll show my new piece - a very early 57er gold wound badge, a little bit worn

thank you Luud, they are all nice medals, of course the MM'D S & L is my favorite!! with the "4" on the ribbon ring its a very early piece, late 50's!! very nice like you said you just need some ribbons to finish them off, or if you could find the correct 3 place medal bar without the medals that would be even better!! thanks for showing them Luud, and its nice to see you back on the forum -Nigel

Thanks Nigel, I don't have much spare time, but I will stay around

Rudiger, what you have with KM items, I have with LW items.
As being a pilot, I have a bigger connection with LW items.
Although I do like the design of the LW badges/spanges much more.
But it doesn't mean that I don't appriciate heer and KM items.

Collecting for me is not about money and getting as much as possible.
I appriciate some "cheap" 57's (that only cost a few single euro's) much more than some "expensive" wartimers.
And size is also not very important, IMO the quality of a collection is valued at the worst item.

Sadly you had to sell some items. I can't help you with a RK.
But if you ever want a nice U-boat, I have a very nice Wiedmann for trade.
And I don't need the Jackpot for it.

I am around today, so I will see the WB.
BTW: I really prefer the worn 57's.

@ Luud ... I have to agree with you on the LW items. I recently bought a wartime Pilot badge after resisting the urge for several months .
But I also agree that Heer & KM badges are not to be forgotten. Both have great looking badges as well !

@ Rüdiger .. I think I might be able to help you out with that RK when the time comes .

                        Hi Luud,

Very nice, and great to see you here.

What exactly led the seller to believe that he had fakes? I don't know these pieces very well, so I can't say.

                        Thanks!
                        Best regards,

All super nice pieces Luud! Real bombers!

Both of the U boat badges are phenomenal. Very early 57 production. The TR is super for a zinker!

That EKII is something special too. MM'd 4 and looks like TR quality to me!
