My 57 EK 1s & 2s - Am I missing anything?

Hello again,

Here are some photos of my 57er EK1s & EK2s. Besides an EK1 screw-back, can anyone tell me if I am missing any other variation of either class of EK.

Just FYI, the cross resting on its ribbon is the Maker Marked #4 on the ring. Two of the EK1s are not Maker Marked and one has the rare L/11 not in a box.

A cracking collection of new form EKs and minatures. You have S&L and Deumer. What about an Assmann? Then one of the very rare screwbacks?

Just as an aside, why is there a bar to the EK2 on the WW2 style ribbon attached to one of your 57 EK2s? The 57 bars replaced the swastika'd war time ones, but by virtue of having the bar awarded to them during WW2 meant the recipent already had a WW1 EK and as such never recieved the WW2 EK2. Therefore the bar should be on a piece of WW1 style ribbon.

Thank you for your complements. That is actually my very first 57er piece I purchased from Manions a long time ago. That should answer your question.

However I have seen this set up before so, who knows?

One of your unmarked crosses may be a Souval. I can't tell from the photo, would need to see up close or reverse shots of the ek I's, but don't forget about that one. An example was just recently posted. Screwback, good luck, but one did turn up recently for one member after a long lengthy search for one.

hi Vince, great collection of EK's, i think you've got most bases covered!! theres a couple of rarer makers, like Assmann, and Deschler, and theres Souvals pre-57ers using the old wartime frames, the cores being blank, no oakleaves or dates!! can't think of much else!! very nice crosses my friend!! -Nigel

Hi David,

From the thread you sent me I noticed that most of the DKiGs were yours. You obviously have more than one. That is why I asked you if perhaps you had duplicates of those crosses you recommended.
