    9MM FJ Stickpin

I haven't posted anything new for some time now, primarily because I've had nothing new to post.

But today's a new day right? Today the beloved postman (that's for you Nigel) brought me this little ditty. It's composed of 9mm mini's and is 54mm wide.

The awards are an EKI, EKII, GWB, SWB, BWB, Luft Ground Assault Badge, Paratrooper Qualification Badge, Italian medal, Kreta Cufftitle and Afrika Cufftitle.

I for one feel mini's are under appreciated on our forum. Medal Bars, Mini Chains and Mini Stickpins tell a story like no single badge can. Like a grouping, they show a path, a series of events, a man's journey through war and his various exploits. I think of them as a testament to a soldiers career, graphically displayed in a unique format.

I absolutely agree, these just tell a story.
A single ek or badge are boring compared to them.
But I am glad that most don't collect these. Now these can be bought for very nice prices. I do like these a lot

More for us, eh? It sure increases the odds of getting some nice ones when there's only two or three going for them!

          Very cool, Mike.

This is certainly a nice, full one. I don't have any of these. For some reason they never really appealed to me. But now that you've explained how interesting they are, I think I'll compete with you in the small marketplace. (Just kidding)

          I like this one...

Also, didn't you recently sell one of these on the eStand?

          Trevor
          Best regards,

              Thanks gents.

These mini's tell can tell an awesome story if you just listen...

Please do compete Trevor! That just means that someone else appreciates the history behind the man!

I did sell a real corker on e-stand not too long ago, and NO it wasn't FJ. The FJ pieces seem to stick to my fingers for some reason.

Nigel, I thought it interesting that all three WB's were included on one stickpin. I supose if you earn the Gold, you deserve to show them all.

I don't know the name of the recipient. I'm still working on getting it. I was told that he died prematurely (as a result of his wartime wounds) in 1963.
