Hello
I have recently acquired two cases, (sadly empty - at the moment !!), which are original cases for the 57 re-strikes of Oaks and Oaks with Swords. Both are 'halbetui' style cases.
The first one that I am posting is completely UV negative, and uses the lining material as a hinge. This is an early case. The second is UV positive and uses a normal hinge at the rear of the case. Although the same style as the first, this is clearly a slightly later version.
Measurements are:
Early case: 66.05mm x 66.47mm x 19.17mm high
Later Case: 65.18mm x 65.72mm x 20.59mm high
Now I need a couple of early examples of the 57 Oaks or Oaks with swords to go in these, although the later versions of the Oaks or Oaks with Swords do fit into the later case, but not quite in the early case.
As usual, any comments and observations welcomed.
Regards
David
