I would agree that this an S&L made item, but, in my opinion, it isn't from the early 1960's, and more or less definately not from 1960 as it has the second pattern core, the dipping eye and, from what I can make out in the photos, the later frame. However, as it has the magnetic core it is still from the early part of the second pattern production and I'd hazard a guess that this piece dates from around the late 1960's or quite early 1970's. Price wise in GBP $225 is about £132 so as the expression goes, the price is right.
