    1957 Kc

    Hello all due too the fact that i cant afford a knights cross pre 1945 manufacture untill i win the lottery, im going too buy the 1957 version and i was thinking about this one here: http://www.emedals.ca/catalog.asp?item=GY135#bigPic

    Compare it to what's shown as the RK with the "sand blasted" finish. Try and go for an earlier example with an iron center, or at least one that has a nicely finished frame.

      As George has already said, go for one the earlier ones, preferably with the polished rims and magnetic core. If you can find one, and budget permits, get a 1st pattern version. Failing that one of the earlier 2nd patterns.

      The one in your link looks like the current production version still available from Steinhauer und Luck at a cost of €75 for the full silver one, (S&L stock number 95004-02ES), or €45 for the 'versilbert', which translates as 'silvered, (S&L stock number 95004-02), plus VAT, which I think in Germany on these is about 12%, plus shipping. Either way, I think for $350USD you can do better than this one.
