      Hello

I personally have never seen an EK like this one. All EKs that I have encountered, whether Imperial, Third Reich or 57 conform to the norm for their type, e.g date of 1813 on the reverese and either oakleaves, crowns, swastikas and date of conflict on the front.

Of course, this doesn't mean that it's some sort repro. It could be a period piece, (question then is which period, Third Reich or post war), done as a test sample prior to the main core die / stamp being made.

      Regards
      David

I know this EK II version, because I have this version, too.
All these EK II's, which I know are from austria. I got the information that these EK II's are a special version for veterans, for to wear on veterans meeting. They have an souval frame and a non-magnetic core.
There are an EK I version, too.

        Regards

        Grueni

          Hallo Bavaria.
As Grueni say, it is a postwar cross for veterans in Austria. Made using Souval frames and perfectly original. Thanks for showing it.
