    8-place 57 ribbon bar

I believe this one to have been made in the late 1950's/early 1960's...but is there any way to tell for certain from the construction of the bar? Also, does anyone know what the two ribbons on the bottom right are? Cheers, Torsten.

Thanks Greg...I am quite happy with it re its originality but I was wondering if it is possible to tell when it was made by looking at the construction of it? Cheers, Torsten.

                  Torsten.
I have problems with this one. Look at the needle at the back. It sits on the lower row. A ribbon bar like this will flip forward. I think it is a modern put together. Definitely not late 1950's. The ribbon bars made 1957 to 1960 was of much better quality.

Hi Peter, thank you for your comment...I personally took it off a moth eaten 1950s/1960s era Bundeswehr Hauptmann uniform. It was properly looped/attached onto the uniform. I still have the uniform and could show it and the threads that were used to attach it to the uniform and to be honest, I would be very shocked and surprised if this ribbon bar turned out to be not original from the uniform and to be a modern and put together item >> The ribbon bar was attached to the uniform on that needle using three pieces of thread that do not go through the lining of the jacket and that cannot simply be pulled out of the uniform and this would have been done by the taylor that made the jacket at the time...there is no other way that the ribbon bar could have been attached to the jacket. It sat very firmly and securely on the jacket and did not flip forward. Cheers, Torsten.

PS: Unfortunately, I did not take pics of how the ribbon bar was attached to the jacket and cannot show that now but I could still show the threads that were used to attach it to the jacket...

The red backing of the ribbon bar would have been damage by moth as well in my opinion. The ribbon bar appears brand new in these photos.

Peter, I am sorry but the bar did come off the jacket...the jacket is not completely moth eaten but has holes in different places...I know nothing about 57 awards and I would not normally want to argue with your opinion Peter but on this one I do know where it came from and how it was attached to the jacket and that is what makes me so certain about its originality...sorry...Cheers, Torsten.

The ribbon (last one on the bottom) could be the Rumanian Crown Order (1938).

Not sure on this one. The ribbon next to the KVK is a Romanian anti-communist medal.

Isn't the KvK higher than the combat badges like the FJ badge? If so wouldn't it be before it? Nice ribbon anyway
