It's my collection. But only Lappland shield - not official awards.....

Those are some nice shields you got there. It a pitty after the war everyone was anial about the swastikas that they were removed to replace the wartime awarded badges/awards. I think they could have tried a little harder to fill in those gaps....

Correct me if i,m wrong but is the lappland not a 1957 award , i was told the lappland shield was not sanctioned by the West German government as a 1957 yet the companies still made it .

There were examples crudely made AND officially awarded right at War's end in May 1945. In fact Award documents exist where the shield was given out into the fall off 1945 .. actual documented ones.

The unique thing is that it does not have the swastika, however, they were awarded during the last days of the 3rd Reich era.
