    Unidentified patch

Forum members, I came across what looked like an American WW2/Korean War coat...It was either an M43 or an Officer's style overcoat....I'm thinking the latter since it had a removable liner....There was a patch on the left shoulder that had a red wool pentagon on a round green backdrop....The diameter was maybe 1.75" and the pentagon roughly .75" X .75"...Almost half of the red wool had been eaten away by moths....There also may have been two thin gold single strand for a border....I don't readily recall this as an American patch...Maybe foreign?....Sound familiar to anyone?...It was at an estate sale on a coat rack with two big piles of clothing in front, blocking me from accessing it and taking it off the rack....Any thoughts or ideas appreciated....Bodes

Btw....There were a couple Air Corps type items, but not sure if these had any thing to do with the coat....
