    Misc Korean Era Badges/Rank

    Hello,
    My Grandfather past away a while ago. I have not really found any really decent information on these items.
    First the 38th inf regiment crest on green felt for epillettes? What is that all about
    Also what is the deal with the heavy bronze rank badge.
    Also have a name tape with his full name not just first, was this approved?

    The green felt with the unit crests are leadership tabs. I love that Second I.D. patch!

      I have never seen or heard of the leadership tabs. Can you fill me in on them?

        These green tabs were worn by NCO's on the khaki & dress uniform. Officers wore them too I think. The brass NCO thing is from the 50's early 60's hat never saw them worn. Great 2nd ID patch.

          The brass SFC rank was worn during the Korean War on headgear.
