8th Hussars
On one occasion, the Centurion tanks of the 8th were swamped by Chinese soldiers who were attempting to prise open the hatches to throw grenades inside. The response of the Irish Hussars was to turn the turrets of their tanks towards each other, and "hose" the enemy off with their Besa machine guns. On their return to the British Lines these tanks were said to have "ran red with the blood of dead Chinese

Thanks Upbeek ! These pictures are in a Japanes album he bought on leave in Japan. Lots and lots of pictures and negatives besides these, there is also an album of the training ( in British uniform ) and follow up voyage to Korea and more material like the Indian head patch of the 38 Inf Brig. etc. I will make some scans in the near future, picture quality is fine and scans will be better than these pictures.
I thought the view of the positions and locations could be usefull for those who take an historical interest, lots of names of locations as Nudae, Iron Triangle, stinky hill. And he kept a daily record of events of the day, shelling, reconnaisance etc.
