    Japanese flag translation help

    Hello
This came out of the woodwork of a navy veteran who brought this back, it also came with an Arisaka that has a sniper scope mount and the appropriate bayonet.
The flag also came along with the lot and I'm eager to see if it happens to have any valuable information on perhaps where the soldier who had it was from or his name maybe? Any translation help would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

    Brayden

Large top writing is 'Everlasting fortune in battle'
That's all I can make out.
    Nice looking flag.

      That would be:

      武運長久
Bu'un Chōkyū [on the flag it is written from right to left]

The rest are all names; I do not see a dedication with a recipient's name. Lots of people with the surname Zama, Shiroi, and Kaneko.
      • 座間 Zama
      • ザマ Zama [written probably by a child since it is in katakana and not kanji]
      • 白井 Shiroi
      • 金子 Kaneko
