Sometimes these blades by (Seki) Kazunori have some small kanji hot-stamped at the base of the nakago, which was a sort of patent describing a particular forging method. It has also been noted in Slough, that the "nori" kanji is identical to several other Seki smiths signatures and is therefore signed ( nakirishimei) by a specialist who signed swords for the swordsmiths.
