Japanese Rope throwing gun

Hello,
I saw on one thread about the Kawaguchiya Firearms Company rope throwing gun. I came in possession of one this weekend and was wandering if anyone had any additional information about them. Haven't been able to find much online. I saw in the one post that maybe a 1000 were made. Just wandering if anyone had any experience with them or had any idea on a value.

Mine is the solid metal stock. Haven't been able to find out much one it. It does have the word TAKE stamped into the forearm after i figured out exactly what it was I looked up and found a WWII Japanese Navy Destroyer called TAKE so figured it might be from the same ship. I'll take some pics of it tonight.
