WWII Japanese Spurs?

A friend of mine just brought these in, he was told they were WW2 Japanese spurs. I have no idea, so here they are - what say ye gentlemen?

Absent any stamps it is hard for me to say; they look like many military spurs. I have US, British, and German military spurs.

Hopefully our resident Japanese cavalry collectors can give a better opinion.

Here are the IJA issue spurs. Note the sloped ends and the unique buckle attachments (see also Hewitt pgs. 226 & 230). It is possible that yours could have been private purchase as this was not uncommon with those types of items.
