FYI ... the little marks I'm referring to are the one in the center of the three on the fuchi (collar) that is just behind the tsuba and the one on the blade just after the serial number.
If you hold an NCO sword with the tip down you will correctly view the fuchi stampings. The one on the left is the mark of the as yet unknown maker. The center one is the arsenal inspection stamp and the third one over on the right (intertwined circles) is the Kokura mark. Although Kokura administered the production program for the first few years they never actually made any Type 95 themselves.
