Japanese cigarette case with family crest?

    Hello guys!

I recently bought this silver cigarette case.
Unfortunately is no maker mark on this item. I think, the logo on the top is the family crest.
Maybe someone knows who used this type of chrysanthemum crest?

Found this picture on the japanese site.
"My" emblem is shown along with the crests of the royal family, but still have no idea to whom it belonged...

Hmmmm .... that just might have been a gift from the Royal Family. Emperor's mon has 32 leaves -- 16 on top and 16 partially hidden and offset. The 16-petal mum was adopted by the royal family during the Meiji era in 1869.

Onshi no Tobako were cigarettes gifted by the royal family.
I found another cigarette case similar to yours:

    "恩賜のたばこ" ケース
    "Onshi Cigarette" Case

I once was given a box of Onshi cigarettes with the 32-petaled kiku when I was stationed in Japan [it was NOT presented by the Kunaisho] ... since I didn't smoke, I gave them to my fencing master who smoked. He also had a "bottomless" bottle of sake and gold cup each with the 32-petal chrysanthemum: gifts from the royal family.

[Note regarding "Bottomless" sake bottle: after he finished drinking the original contents, he refilled it (often) and offered "Imperial Sake" to honored visitors who would drink from the Emperial sake cup. (^__^) .... yah, I got "punked".]

Thank you for your replies, i really appreciate it!

I finished my little research - this crest belongs Princely House of Yamashina.
        May be an emperor gift...

Anyway, for me it's a nice thing, full of Japanese minimalism.
