    Japanese Helmet Your Thoughts

    hi,
this helmet is available, I would like your thoughts on it. Is it all original with just cut chinstraps or is there a reason it is unsold?
    thanks Robert

Star might not be original to helmet & it should be matching paint color to helmet shell. Might of had paint removed. Missing drawstring that gathers liner pads as well as chinstraps

Just be wary mate, the seller is well known for selling tampered and fake German stuff as originals.

I would pass on this one. Don't believe the star is original to the lid. I would look for a nice all original an complete helmet. This way it will also go up some in value. Just MHO.

Liner looks to be repro. Star is bad imo. The paint on the legs of the star is also a bad sign. Legs also look like sheet metal. Looks like a put together with mostly repro parts.

Thanks for that I had my doubts at $390 buy now Australian is cheap in my opinion but no takers. I have only owned a couple of Japanese helmets so know next to nothing. I even had doubts on the paint job. So played with Japanese helmets are the same as German worth virtually only parts value? The seller makes a point of stating how original his stuff is and so on.
              cheers Robert
