Any idea of what this is or what it was used for?

Maintenance instruction plate for a fuel filter. "Filthy fuel is the mother of breakdowns. Clean out daily at first, and gradually stretch the interval between cleaning if approriate".
Probably early post war and could be from any engine. Nothing to indicate military origin.
