Late War Navy Field Cap Brinback-Havelock stitching

I am very happy to add this nice late war variant anchor cap into my collection. It is a bringback item from Leyte.

Very interesting to see Havelock stitchings on a naval field cap. Rust stains are shown from where the havelocks hooks locked in.

Inside mft stamp is actually filled out. I believe I see the date showa 19 month 5.May 1944.

I am curious as to what MFT this is. Could somebody please help me decipher what MFT depot this cap is from?

    Thank you.

Nice score...I was watching that one and didn't even notice the havelock marks in the sellers photos. Good eye and great addition.

            Best, David.

                Thank you very much guys!!

The mft stamp inside does not match up with any mft/depot tags inside of any of my naval clothing items. Which mft/depot was this made at?Thank ya

Outstanding find, especially the Leyte attribution. The unusual thing about this cap is the field made Havelock loops which were obviously used.
Havelocks were not normally seen on Navy caps of this period, and indeed they were no longer even issued to the Army by this time either, Havelocks being an early war item.
