Okay Reeder and I think this is Kane Nori,, its a Star stamp blade in a horrible display case, guy wants $4000 for it which way too high these days. Its in a framed case with all components displayed seperately,,,cringe. So are we on the right trail as to smith?

There is just something about Japanese swords, plastic zip ties, and paneling from my Dads house being in the same photograph that makes my tummy hurt

Hi Steve,
Working off an iPad here with limited ability to manipulate images but if you or Reeder run an Advanced search of Kanenori you will come up with several threads where the kanji are displayed and can be used for comparison.
