    another suspicious seller on ebay

Please be careful about this seller on ebay. One of his/her current auctions

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/201095419884...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

was offered on Yahoo Japan and won by me on August 6. Everything you see in that photo is currently in my possession, so it is strange to see the exact same photo on the ebay site.

Could be the same seller in Japan who double listed and just forgot to take it down. But it could be someone just pilfering pics and listing items they don't have. I have no idea.

Perhaps the other auctions they offer are OK. Just a heads-up.

    Best,
    Rich

They really piss me off as they manipulate eBay rules to their own
benefit$$$. Most everything they list has a ridiculous high started list price with a best offer. Then the item disappears. Who knows what it actually sold for

        Hello Jareth,

I saw what you referred to when I visited the site. I don't recall having ever seen such ridiculous pricing as I saw there on any other sales venue.

        Regards,
        Stu

Although I didn't spend too much time looking into this seller, the fact that I saw the exact same photo as in an auction I had won a week earlier confused me.

Again, I don't really know if this seller is bad, but you can notice a variety of camera-work styles in the auctions listed.

I guess I should just bid on the lot mentioned above and see what he/she says.

          EDIT
Just read the whole terms and conditions. Looks like people consign items to them for re-sale? So perhaps the Japanese seller I bought from did this and just forgot to have the ebay auction removed.

Come on, you don't sell an item on two differents places at the same time when they both are bidding sites. What if someone accept the ridiculous starting price after the item was won by somebody else in a fair bidding on the first site? Serious problem to both buyer, seller and consigner no?

Will they just cancel the first sale? Arguing some false pretext of some kind that we already heard here and there on ebay. If they are indeed connected with the first seller in Japan. if not, trying to convince him that the item just sold worth more, that kind of behaviour is also already happening on ebay sometimes.

That's will be definitly not fair at all and would it be legal?

IMO they are just picking up nice pictures of high end pricey items and try to fish on the big ebay world. They are so lasy (or too busy to steal other pictures) that they didn't even matter to cancel their own auction when the real sell is ending.

Wait and see and thank you for sharing.
