Can someone help me translate the side portions of this flag?

I got this flag at a Civil War Show in Gettysburg this fall, I was drawn to it by the brutal look as well as the unusual outlay of the flag.

I know the top is Bu-Un-Cho-Kyu

I was told the bottom means "Discard Selfishness in Patriotic Martyrdom"

I was just wondering what is written on the sides.

Right side has 3 signed names while the left has 4 signed names.
