Cased japanese medals id help...

Hello forum. These came out of a local estate clean out, and I'm hoping perhaps I could get a positive ID on them here...Both are cased, one in a lacquered wooden box, the other in a more standard "leatherette" type case. The latter, interestingly, has a photo of a Japanese girl and a small cloth Japanese flag w/ hand-written Kanji and what appears to be a number "20" (somewhat obscured by the girl). Any help is appreciated. A couple pix below...Thanks in advance.

Wooden cased medal...There are also the remnants of a paper label on the top of the case, now mostly gone.
