    Tropical kesen fuku

HereĀ“s my new tropical tunic in kesen fuku style. Obviously unworn with - in my opinion - post war addet collar tabs. Nevertheless an interesting, not often seen tunic.

You're right, Kesen fuku summer uniform only has one pocket, I have no idea what his is.

Nice summer kesenfuku!! , I think these were home front battle wear tunics used towards the end of the war in Japan. I have a wool (Osaka) tunic an is dated 1945 too.
The only single pocket cotton tunic I can think about is the ones made for POW's. If I recall, it has the block print inside but no type/model stamp above that and no belt support strap.
There are two models in Hewitt's book, a 3 pocket ( one chest and two waist pockets) and a long sleeves one with a single chest pocket.
