Two japanese canteens - help needed.

    Hi all!

I just bought these two canteens.
But i'm not sure what this is the army stuff...

The left canteen has a stamp on the bottom - flying bird, number "14" and "TKK". "14" - this is Showa era year?
The right canteen has no stamps, but there a some writing in Japanese on the side.

Can anyone tell me, that an army canteens or not?
And if someone translated the writing that would be great.

    With best regards, Vladimir.

    The first writing.

I think they were issued to military during Taishou period, however during Showa period they were used by civilian.

Your examples might be civilian (at least one of them).

In second writing, 佐農校 (Sa Nou Kou) - Abbr. for : 佐賀県立佐賀農業高等学校 (Sagaken Ritsu Saga Nougyou Koutou Gakkou) - Saga Prefecture Saga Agricultural High School.

    Regards,
    Taka

I believe the darker brown is the military issue type from late Meiji through Taisho periods and the other the latter civilian type. The early Meiji type was in a leather holder/sling.
