IJN full dress uniform

Hello,

I am looking to buy this full dress IJN tunic. It looks good to me, but would like to get more experienced opinions.

I would like to get more info about where to find more info about Japan WW2 naval uniforms (some book?), as weel as a source of an officer wearing such uniform, possibly with some awards, so I can point myself into that direction with acquiring the awards for a display. Thanks in advance.

Middle row, third from right: is that Captain Yamamoto Isoroku with the sharp jaw-line? He and Arakawa corresponded often, but the letters were thrown out after Mr. Arakawa died.




Both Arakawa and Yamamoto were in London during this period and I surmise they began their association/friendship at that time.

After looking around the internet a bit, Yamamoto was at the Second London Naval Conference in 1930 as a rear admiral; so: (1) I doubt he would have been that far back in the lineup, and (2), I can't find any images of him wearing a moustache.

Looking further: The Second London Naval Conference was 21 Jan ~ 22 April 1930. The photo was taken on 11 June 1930, well AFTER the Conference (Arakawa was in London for a year, then on to France for a year). I guess there is very little chance Yamamoto attended this particular event.

Edit: To France for a year, but received return orders after three months. During the time in London/France, he was photographed twice at the German Naval Academy.

I found the English version of Arakawa's military CV

What it doesn't say is that in 1943 while he was the military "partner/representative" of some aircraft manufacturing companies, two facilities caught fire or were bombed. At this time, April 1943, he was on the vice admiral list; however, he had to take responsibility for the two facilities that were destroyed and was retired as a rear admiral. He was then made vice president of the company! After the war he continued in a similar position of responsibility with the same company.

I have a full leather black belt with sword/dagger hangers. Would that one be appropriate for this dress uniform?

I can see on some photos that some pictured belts have tresse, so I wonder...

Also, what would be a realistic set of awards this rank could possible be awarded with?

The belts are rare.
