    Unidentified Japanese Ordnance-Related Items - HELP ! !

I picked up these two items yesterday and I would like to kindly ask fellow forum members for some help in identifying them and also to understand the meaning of the various lines of "text."

Are the two pieces "related" or not really?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I apologize if I have posted these images upside-down. Kanji characters are really not my specialty!

It may look like a condom, but I know that it's not!

                Thank you !

Thank you, both Bill and "chen" - your input is appreciated.

Is there any possibility that the silk bag contained only the charge (i.e. - gunpowder) for a tank projectile? Or do you think it actually housed the complete tank or anti-tank round?

What possible purpose could there be for a silk sleeve like this? I mean, it sure doesn't offer much protection...

The silk bag contained the powder and was stuffed in the shell casing.
