Japanese army hat - help please

I would appreciate some insights into the following cap, a New Zealand vet bought back item :

Could someone please translate the kanji and advise any other general details about the cap as I know very little about Japanese uniform items.

Enlisted cap. The one stamp says 村 Mura "villiage" possibly the first kanji as an abbreviation for some other word 上納 "government payment" (a government contract?) 大 "Large" cap size.

The others are not readable from the photos provided, probably just inspector's stamps.

Looks to be a Cotton Type Japanese Army Late War Field Cap.
