So, I'm selling my late Muromachi period (end of 1500's) wakizashi.
Total Length: 42.5cm / 16.75"
Cutting edge: 32.5cm / 13"
Motohaba: 2.5cm / 1"
Hamon: Midare in Nie Deki; many beautiful activities.
Boshi: Komaru
Hada: Masame / Itame
Nakago: Suriage; Mumei
Condition: Beautiful; Fine polish, no flaws, very minor damage - see photos.
Koshirae: Quality shirasaya; two piece copper habaki; purple silk sword bag.

its been cut down from a longer sword and it does have flaws which can be seen in the photos

The lack of a shinogi and overall shape of the blade would indicate that this blade is naginata naoshi-a naginata cutdown and reshaped in to a sword blade.
