Question on leather harness

I picked this up today at a garage sale and was wondering how exactly the harness works on it. It is a Year 10 grenade launcher I believe.

As you can see the weapon is all matching but the cover is not!

That's a type 10 knee mortar with skeleton case great find what did that set you back if you don't mind ?

The type 10 knee mortar was designed to be taken apart. The tube seperates from bottom section & it & the detached base fit inside barrel THEN it all fits into harness. PM me if it's for sale.

Sad. Just heard this beauty was butchered & sold at SOS. Had hole drilled through each side of tube, rod weilded from OUTSIDE (ugly & not necessary) & huge whole cut through bottom of tube. Overkill of a beautifull piece
