    Opinion on this IJA helmet cover

    I'm guessing this isn't what I thought it was originally, because it would have sold within a few hours of posting it. Can someone give me some information on this cover? Thank you.

        I guess what threw me on this is all the other pith helmets I've seen, IJA or IJN had more of a brim all the way around. I've never seen one shaped so closely to an actual helmet. But the inside shot should have gave it away.

            I should mention that this later variation army pith helmet has interior rim loops ( note photo) that allowed this pith to be used as a helmet cover. The loops slipped over the edge of the helmet shell & kept it in place atop the helmet. This said it is still not considered a "helmet cover".
