              Okay

Great, Could you give a novice such as myself to SNLF items how rare the Navy gas masks are?

              I thank you in advance.

They are naval gas mask used on ships also, and pretty rare, but not rare as many other naval items

David, just noticed! A very nice set of NLF gear in top condition. Was the 3 button tunic the only NLF version as against the Green Navy type with 4 buttons?

The green 3 button tunics were made for the NLF, but later sometime around early 44 I believe they went to a 4 button when the navy stopped switching colors with season ie white in summer blue in winter they went to seagreen uniforms, and dyed the white items, left over for summer use, green. By this time the NLF was pretty much done so the 4 buttons tunics are really just concidered navy atleast, in the collectiong community. The first landing force wore shipboard jumpers and cherry blosson hemets in 32. I believe he first seagreen NLF tunics were made in 37. The NLF had a wool 3 button tunic also.
