Ｙｅｓ, these were a set with another trunk for the chemical warfare kit for the horses and in the case of an Infantry unit regulations stiplulated that they be hauled around by the ammunition carriers.

I once had a japanese Horse Rectal Thermometer from WWII in the case.

Value on items like this are much more "nebulous" than on more regularly encountered pieces like badges, helmets, etc.

I did find a guy that collects veterinarian items and we came to an agreement we were both happy with.
