Help with Japanese Sword ID

Any information appreciated on this Japanese sword. The blade is pristine, but unfortunately the scabbard is broken on the lower half and tip. Are repairs to these areas possible. Thanks, Jason

Jason,

You have a regulation Naval Officer sword. I would think that repairs to the scabbard are possible.
