Medals i.d. please

Hi,
Just bought a nice little medal collection that included a small number of Japanese medals. I've never done much with Japanese awards and would appreciate your insight! The first piece is i.d.ed as the rare Great East Asia War Medal. I'm assuming it is a fake but input would be nice! The second is a nice looking piece but no clue as to what it is or if it has much value! Thanks guys!

The first award is a modern copy of the Great East Asian War Medal for sale to veterans. They are readily available in Japan and cost about USD60 each.

The second badge is the Special Member's abdge of the Imperial Soldier's Relief League. It, and the other badges in this series, are described in my book In The Name of a Living God. If you do not have it let me know and I will send details of it to you so you can decide if you want to invest in a copy.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the info on the badge. I don't collect Japanese so Peterson is fine for me 90% of the time on medals. These came as a 'bonus' in a recent collection with other Japanese medals I'm more familiar with. Really do appreciate the time!
PS Anybody need a copy Asia War medal cheap? LOL!!!
