Japanese WWII shell - help needed

Just purchased this Japanese WWII shell casing. What is it? The base is 2 3/4" (7cm) wide and has a removable primer similar to German WWII shells. It is only 2 1/2" (62mm) tall (cut down?). Best guess is it is a 47mm. Any help on the markings would be great too. Thank you!

    Dunno .... but it's dated Showa 17 [1942].

In addition to the date being Showa 17 as Guy mentioned, the “2” is for the month, February, while the crossed cannons are for the Osaka Army Arsenal.
From your rim diameter, it appears you have a cut down Army 47mm shell casing which originally was 11-1/8” long and bottle necked. They were used in both tank and anti-tank cannons.
        Hope this helps.

            Perfect! Thank you!
Does your shell have the same removable primer?

These use the large screw in primer with early ones being made of brass but changed over to steel as the war progressed.
Some shell casings also changed to steel with a brass plating,
