    Dutch helmet

I would like to know more about this Dutch helmet. Particularly authenticity and value. Thanks in advance

The flash on the front of the helmet is of the Dutch Nationalist party, the NSB.
I never seen a helmet with this flash up front, but it looks authentic and then a rare item.
There is a specialist on this subject here in the forum. (I forgot his name) Maybe he can help.

There should be a makers stamp on the inside of one of the leather flaps.

I can't detact traces of green paint underneath the black paint. So it is possible that the helmet wasn't used by the Dutch army but by the air raid protection. And then re-used by the national party.

I can't give you a price indication because I don't know if it is authentic. If it is, it will be a very wanted item. (me included)

This a nice site about Dutch helmets

I will be following this very intresting item. Thank you for sharing

Close ups of the decal are a must to come to a conclusion.

I've seen this helmet before on an auction, was it Ebay?
It's starting price was very reasonable I recall.
Why I didn't bid:I have seen a lot reissued Dutch helmets with all kind of decals, handpainted and factory made, but this one?
          Never seen, not a clue.
I am not suggesting this is a fake, I think the front decal is pretty convincing.
But why a one of a kind helmet / decal?
I am again puzzeled, but also again highly interested in the story behind the helmet.
Maybe Jan-Arie or Gaston (or Willem Duijst) jumps in, if there exists original documentation about this kind of helmet, they probably have archived.

          Mighty interesting piece...

          Regards,
          Martin

It's not from eBay. I have bought another helmet from the same person that's truly legit. However, he sent me pics of some other things he's selling and there's a few very questionable items on the list

I can not say anything about
Because I do not document or photo for hands.
