I agree that it doesn't look very Polish. What leads you to think it might be? Also, can we see the reverse?

Thats a little strange .. as the chap selling it is supposed to be an international expert on Polish badges, ... and he has not fully identified the badge in his description ..

I've looked through mostly ever Polish eagle badge I could find and the head just doesn't look similar and the style is also off. This style defiantly seems more art deco fascist... The horizontal wings and face for example.

I'm with Gary: a 'rare' badge should a) be documented somewhere and b) better described by the vendor. I'm keeping my wallet in my pants!

                  Good day folks

This is indeed a Polish badge. It is a beret badge for 14 Wielkopolska Kompania Saperów which were part of 14 Armoured Brigade which included 3rd Ulans and 10th Hussars. Both Polish Armoured Regiments and a Signals Squadron.

14 Wielkopolska Kompania Saperów was the Brigade Engineer (Saperów) company.

Nothing to do with special forces.

I'm fairly certain that this one is a copy. The originals were made by the Italian company FM Lorioli of Milan and Rome. Their badges were beautifully made. The one shown on eBay looks rough to me. The Italian manufacturer could explain the art deco style a number of people have referred to.

Also BEWARE this seller. He sells genuine common badges but almost all of the rare badges are fakes. He is a well known charlatan to the Polish Army in Exile collectors community.
