Unknown compass, origin?

Hello everybody,

I got this compass from a friend, who was in yugoslav military service after the war (ww2), he said he got it from a japanese officer. I have my doubts about it, that is why i am posting here. Please help me identify it.

It is very similar to US m1950 compass, but without any markings.

Sorry eastern knock off of the M1950 IMHO. This is an older one.

I bet you the Romer is 1:20000 not 1:25000

You can still pick the up ebay for less than 20$.

I am not interested in price, i just wanted to know if maybe this was military issue afterall.
