I want to show a very rare french equiment item:
french bread bag Mle. 1935.
When the bag was worn on the belt - the shoulder strap was attached to the bag.

Nice item. it's the piece i miss on my 1935 field gear.
It's looks to be use by a german soldier, the side marking is Gfr for Gefreiter ?

classical bag reissued to second line german troops,LS for example !
that s why they are pretty hard to find in France.A lot of them were captured by the germans !

I also think that this bag was reissued by a german gefreiten (gfr).
It is the first time that I saw such a french bag. It is very well made.

This bag is not a bread bag but a munition bag for FM 24/29 Cartbridge .
On front bag in the leather part you add the support for FM 24/29
In regular french book reglement you add meat case and pull over , shirt in this bag .
The name off this bag is A munition bag for FM/24/29 Mdle 1935 .
Its not difficult to find in France . Value 100 Euros
