    21st Century Vet bringbacks.

    Hello all,

i know there are quite a few Iraqi collectors on the board.

This thread is about the continuation of the "vet-bringback" an activity that has become somewhat synonymous with the US GI of the 20th and now 21st centuries.

These photos have been sent to me from a US friend who has just purchased a huge haul of items and is in the process of sorting through them, the total weight of items was around 200lbs.

These photos are only around 35% of the total items that the veteran shipped back.

Needles to say, as i have a growing interest in this area i did turn an interesting shade of green .

here we go with the pics....

          The last for now.

One hell of an instant collection.

from what i can see... not a single weapon

i heard they have become very strict about bringbacks of any weapon... even edged weapons

I had friends in Gulf I. When they were about to board aircraft to leave Kuwait, the MP's went through and confiscated any weapons thatthe troops had brought to the staging areas. One guy from my old outfit managed to sneak a bayonet throuhg, but any other weapons were not allowed under any circumstances.

                    Hello,

he is sorting through the items still, these photos were just a "taster" for me really as i am a uniforms/equipment collector .

I'll let you know if he has medals and see if he can send some shots.

                    all the best,

                    Patrick.
